Help Golok Gaushala Samiti To Feed The Cows

In India cow is considered a mother. However, cows are in very bad condition at present. Because farmers nowadays are rearing the cows until they provide milk, they are left as stray. It is widespread to find abandoned, destitute and sick cows everywhere. 

In the year 2000, When we left out government allotted quarter to live in our home, we bought a cow and named her Nando. The surrounding house is usually a village and agricultural forest. The farmers residing around us most times abandon the cows after their milking stage. 

These cows used to keep flocking around our house being sick, abandoned, and hungry. Catering to the need, We started giving them shelter and fodder as per our capability. Over time, the cows along with their calves also started flocking around our house and stayed here because of the affection and shelter provided by us. At present we are giving shelter to around 70+ cows. Without any financial profit, we are giving shelter and fooder to these cows from 2000 by ourselves. 

As our surroundings are rife with dogs, these cows are generally attacked by them leaving them severely wounded. Whenever such incidents come to our notice, we arrange for the lifting of those wounded cows and give them necessary attentive treatment from our own pocket. We always strive to be ready for the protection and serve the needs of the cows.

We are dedicated to fighting animal cruelty and believe no companion animal should need to be euthanized for lack of a home. We opened our shelter after it became apparent that there were many stray and abandoned animals living in the local area. We aim to rescue as many homeless, sick, and injured animals as possible.

When we take animals into our care, we give them a thorough check-up and provide essential veterinary care if needed. We ensure that all our animals are healthy and have been well looked after by our staff before they can be offered for adoption to a new home.
