Help put a stop to animal abuse, build a medical centre for animals with Zabi Khan

How often have you seen somebody beat a dog, shoo away a cat or a cow, or even kick a puppy? We bet you can think of some instances. Whether it's someone's pet, cattle, or a stray, animals are sometimes treated like pests, hit or abused, punished for their existence. 

Animal abuse is on the rise. There are a lot of animals, even pets, who are abused on a daily basis by their caretakers or strangers. Most of the time, without reason. 

Animal abuse was reported in households with kids, adult couples, or simply on the street. Why? Because they can't voice their opinion, and they suffer in silence. 

While many of us animal lovers, we have our furry friends, no less important than a family member, we must do everything in our power to put an end to animal abuse. Simply talking about it doesn't help, that's not going to take a voiceless creature away from the leash of suffering. 

One of us has been brave enough to try. Zabi Khan's journey has brought a significant dent in the problem of animal abuse, and he has no plans of stopping. At 13, he rescued a puppy. As a college student, he convinced the authorities to open an animal shelter on the premises, as well as starting an NGO called "A place to bark", to rescue and rehabilitate animals who were hurt, lost and abandoned. 

And now, he has taken the initiative to build a full scale animal rescue in Hyderabad. In this facility, emergency medical care, first aid & surgeries will be done under the super vision of veterinary doctors, there will also be special enclosures for animals with infections & those who need separate space to heal.

A first of its kind, this Medical Centre will be a haven for animals, while also serving as an awareness and educational center for animal rights. While he's doing his bit, every helping hand counts. Find the love for animals in your hearts, donate construction material.

1. Animal Rights Foundation:   On December 15, 2019 the first animal sanctuary in Hyderabad was launched on Miyakhangadda Shankarpally Road. Started by 22-year-old animal lover and rescuer, Zabi Khan, the animal sanctuary aims to provide a space for abandoned, stray, and challenged animals.
