Anuradha Mishra, the founder of Hope For Speechless Souls has dedicated her life to the strays. Having started feeding them on the streets 26 years ago, she now runs a shelter that is home to 150 dogs. 

“Some of my dogs are acid attack survivors; and some, splashed with scalding oil. While vehicles have run over some of them, some of them have been mercilessly beaten with sticks.  This is how people treat our strays! And when summer comes, the heat makes it worse. The street dogs of India live in unimaginable conditions every summer

With the heat soaring up to 45°C in many regions, the leftover food that some leave for them becomes spoiled before they even get to it. With no access to water, these dogs rely on drains, and puddles to drink from; This later leads to severe sicknesses. Forced to stay under the sun for hours at a stretch, their skin gets bleeding wounds and infections. Their struggles are endless. But this summer can be different.

Help Donatekart foundation and Anuradha make this summer bearable for strays 

This summer, Hope For Speechless Souls’ Anuradha is joining hands with the Donatekart Foundation to support these helpless animals. To prevent dehydration, the foundation will place stone water bowls in every nook and corner. To address spoiling of food, the dogs will be given dry dog food instead. With your help, they can acquire medicines, dog food, and water bowls and help thousands of strays in need.
