UJJAWALA SHELTER HOME has started up a shelter home for girls and women and provides them some good quality services- shelter to a survivor, Clothes, Counseling services, free legal Aid, Psychosocial Support, medical aid, etc.
The shocking truth is that till now women and girls are victimized by different types of violence. The concept of the Ujjawala Scheme was initiated in the year 2007 under the Ministry of Women and Child Development for the prevention of trafficking and rehabilitation, rescue, and re-integration of suffering from trafficking for commercial s*xual exploitation, etc.
After launching the schemes, the Organization which is called Barak Valley Welfare Development Society from Cachar District took an initiative in the month of Nov 2012, where they extended their hands to serve the society who are deprived of the society/ Victimized girls and Women. Where will the survivor take the shelter? Where they can again regain their respect? Who will identify their identity in society? Who will help them to overcome their trauma? Who will support their mentality? Who will provide them with the services? “Is this questions come to their mind”? – Is we think once a time for them? This is real issues that need them from us.
It's very hard to see that many of them are been trafficked, or r*ped they might be trackless, where we work on “RESCUE COMPONENT” many of them need shelter to regaining their life need some space, Where we work on “REHABILITATION COMPONENT “many of them may be faced problem by acceptance by the society or family or parents, or might be they did not have any communication with their family, where we work on “REINTREGRATION COMPONENT”.
So, by following all these components we work for the survivor to give them a better life and to provide them a new life. As a society as a whole, we all need to stand against all forms of Violence Against Women, if we show a impaired hearing ear to the violence happening near us and they need support from us we are actually meant to encourage it to happen. So to protect our sisters of society we extended our hands to serve all the survivors and try to give her new life and to make a smile on her face which gave us immense pleasure by seeing their happy faces.
As we know one hand is not possible to mitigate one's problem, so we need to join hands to resolve the problem. With a heavy voice, we are urging help from you to donate some KIND to our victims to fulfill their needs.
And as our shelter home is under NGO we need your helping hands so that we can fulfil the needs and requirement of the children and women who are victimize of different crimes in our shelter home.
With the help of donations, our children and women could get their needs and hence they are happy to be able to get what they want in the home.
Some are very poor that they are unable to get once a meal in their livelihood but staying in our home they could get proper meals, recreational activities, and other forms of development, especially with the help of donations from individuals and groups in our society.
With your support, hundreds of girls can get access to groceries.
