This Daan Utsav, Help Hundreds Of Elderlies Live A Healthy And Comfortable Life

Feel free to ask Campaigner for a new update on this Fundraiser.

    Project

At a time when they’re the most vulnerable, need the most love and care, and just want a shoulder to lean on, the elderly are often abandoned and even abused. After years and years of toiling for their families, they’re left with nothing to call their own - not even their own family.

One of the major issues that plague old men and women is a lack of voluntary control over the body and bodily functions. Due to this, these helpless elders often soil themselves. It is not just a thing of embarrassment for them but also becomes a hygiene concern. Thus the need for adult diapers is dire and urgent.

These elderly are bedridden and have to depend on others for their every need. The adult diapers will not only make them feel more comfortable but will also give them a sense of dignity.

There are a number of old age homes across India that are giving these vulnerable people a place they can call home, and healthy, comfortable life.

Your support will help them give hundreds of elderly a life of dignity.

    Beneficiary NGOs:

    1. Good Samaritans India: Good Samaritan Trust was started by A.I George Rakesh Babu. He first opened a free clinic and started helping his patients by taking them to the hospital. He initiated this in 2008, and took a small room and kept sick patients, and took care of them. Finally, it slowly turned into a ‘Welfare Centre’ and then a fully-fledged ‘Destitute’ home. A formal TRUST was registered in the month of March 2011 with co-founders Sunita George and Yesukala. The Good Samaritans have taken in around 300+ abandoned, old, sick, or dying destitute till date from the roads. The people who get well go back to their families.

    2. SMIT Old Age Home And Care Foundation: Started by Yojana Gharat in 2017, SMIT Old Age Home And Care Foundation is a safe home for destitute and abandoned senior citizens. Here, they’re given the utmost love and all their needs are taken care of. Yojana currently takes care of 85 senior citizens in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, and is determined to give them a better life during their last years.
