Everyone’s Beloved Chachi, Bipin Devi Needs Help To Continue Feeding The Poor In Sonbhadra

Uttar Pradesh’s Sonbhadra district is dotted with small villages where people are struggling for two square meals a day. These families struggle every day to feed their children and their elderlies. Poverty and hunger are rampant in this hilly district of Uttar Pradesh and like a ray of hope in these areas of grimness, Chachi ki Rasoi has been feeding hundred souls

“The little children run after our food truck when we enter the villages, they know their Chachi (aunty) has come to feed them. For days, they are not able to eat, their parents do odd jobs to support their families but that’s not enough. But they smile at me and come hug me because they know they will finally get warm meals. Their happy faces are the only reason I have been doing this for years now,” - Bipin Devi, Founder, Chachi ki Rasoi. 

She burnt herself while cooking for the poor but that didn’t stop her from feeding them 

Bipin Devi and her husband Kallu Yadav run a small grocery shop in Sonbhadra. Whatever they earn, they used it up completely to serve the poor and the hungry. This couple is an everyday reminder to all of us who believe that only the rich can think of helping others. 

“What matters is the desire to do something for my own people. I have grown up seeing so much poverty around me - malnourished children dying because their parents weren’t able to feed them. Now, I have been doing all that I can for them and this is the most content I have ever been.” 

Dedicated and with a heart of gold, Bipin Devi hasn’t missed a single day of feeding the poor and underprivileged in Sonbhadra. Even when she burnt herself while cooking, she kept going. She says if a little effort from her side can give someone warm meals to fill their stomach, she will do that every day!

Bipin Devi and her husband have dedicated themselves to feeding the hungry in Sonbhadra. For years, this is their only mission and the love from everyone around them has kept them going. But that is not enough anymore.

“More and more come to these feeding drives every day and I don’t want to turn anyone down. I request all of you to help me by donating groceries so that I can feed them nutritious food.”
