Scared & Helpless, Countless Flood Victims In India Need Urgent Relief

Nature’s fury is invincible and these are times when nothing stands in the way of the wrath that is unleashed. The devastating floods that have struck India are a prime example of that. Relentless and unpredictable, the rains have caused the water levels of rivers to rise considerably. Homes are submerged, roads vanish, and communities are isolated, making rescue and relief work a daunting task. 

As the deluge continues, the floodwaters spare none, wreaking havoc on lives, crops, and infrastructure. Villages as well as towns are grappling to deal with the dangerous effect of floods and community support is the only way to wade through these difficult times.

Several states in India are facing the aftermath of the floods like Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi, Maharashtra, Assam, Rajasthan etc. Thousands of families have been displaced - little children and the elderly are the worst hit. So are the helpless animals who have been stranded due to heavy rains. 

Life has come to a standstill as orphanages, old age homes, schools, and hospitals lie submerged underwater. Families mourn their loved ones and struggle to rebuild their shattered lives. News channels and social media are buzzing with news of death and destruction and the situation is getting grim with every passing moment.
