This Winter Save India’s Stray Dogs From Fatal Accidents By Donating Radium Collars

Happy faces and wagging tails by the side of the roads are reminders of how innocent and unconditional love can be. India has around 6.2 crore stray dogs. All they want is food, fresh water, and a little care to survive the cold winter nights or the scorching summers. But these voiceless creatures are not fortunate enough to receive even that. 

“We get so many accident cases, especially during the winter season. The heavy fog comes in the way of fast-driving cars, trucks, etc and the poor dogs meet with terrible accidents. The worst part is that the vehicles don’t even stop after they have hit an animal - they’re left to die on the highways!” - Volunteer at POSH Foundation, Noida. 

Their lives are precious too - they don’t deserve this pain and suffering  

So what is the solution? How can we prevent these accidents and give the streeties a life of happiness? Besides spreading awareness, one of the fool-proof methods is the use of radium collars. 

“Getting a reflective collar for street dogs is a simple and effective way of keeping our community dogs safe. It hardly costs anything but it saves hundreds of lives.”
