The aftermath of a train accident near Raghunathpur station in Bihar's Buxar district is heartbreaking and chaotic. The disaster caused over 12 coaches to derail, and these now lay scattered along the tracks like fallen giants. The twisted metal carcasses of the coaches are proof of the tragedy that took place. Despite the darkness, emergency lights pierce through as rescue teams and local residents work courageously together to aid the victims. Outside the site, a long line of ambulances is available to transport the injured to hospitals in Ara, Buxar, and Patna. However, the tragedy and sadness is far from over.
The Unfortunate Accident Has Left 6 Dead, 100 Injured & Countless In A State Of Panic
On the night of 11th October 2023, the Delhi-Kamakhya North East Express was travelling from Delhi to Kamakhya Junction in Assam when it encountered a tragic mishap around 9:35 pm. The train derailed near Raghunathpur station in Bihar's Buxar district, causing the loss of six lives and injuring about 100 individuals.
The incident led to the cancellation or diversion of several trains. The rescue operation is currently underway, with various agencies, including NDRF, SDRF, district administration, railway officials, and local residents, working tirelessly to ensure the safety of all affected individuals.
