Project

An initiative by the Hope Begins Foundation for the welfare and empowerment of senior citizens. We are addressing the prevalence of alarmingly meal issues in underprivileged senior citizens. We sponsor the food and basic needs of poor senior citizens and organize a lot of group activities centered around keeping the senior people busy and cheerful, and our periodic visits help to bring more normalcy to their lives and overall environment. We involve them in varied things and also get our partners to teach them some interesting skills so as to be able to keep them busy and happy. From celebrating festivals to birthdays, etc. We make them feel valued and loved and endeavor to revive their sense of belonging in society.

We distribute rations and food packets among the underprivileged older section of the society. There are many elderly people dying every day in India due to hunger, and a large percentage of them are undernourished. The pandemic has made the situation even worse. Hence, with our motto "Welcome Hope" we have been feeding the needy and underprivileged and continuously working towards eradicating hunger. We also come across families who don’t have any facilities to cook food at home. So we also provide ready-to-eat food for such people. We also distribute ration kits. We call our food packets "Happiness kits" because, along with distribution, we include entertainment activities for them as well.

With an increasing elder population and subsequent growing concerns, we are trying to ensure that their later years are lived with economic and social security and dignity, We start tracking senior citizens who are not supported by their families and who have worked hard all their lives but do not have any facilities. Currently Under this program, we are assisting a few senior citizens. In the near future, we are planning to build retirement homes for the elderly who are alone and facing health problems, depression, and loneliness.

Your support will have a great impact on the beneficiary senior citizens. The daily lunch and dinner will take care of their meals, health, and well-being. Donate generously so that they will receive what they need the most for their basic needs. We are currently serving poor senior citizens from slum locations across Delhi and the NCR. With your support, we will plan to expand this initiative to many more critical locations.
