Support Helping Hands For Animals To Feed Abandoned Cows & Give Them A Healthier Life

There are over 1 million stray cattle in Uttar Pradesh, many of whom are abandoned and left to fend for themselves. Countless gaumatas are also injured, hungry and helpless, with no one to lend them a helping hand. They are often in so much pain and found in such terrible conditions, that sometimes it’s too late to save them. This shouldn’t be the case.

Jaishree Bansal, Dr. Vijay Pathak and Meena Bansal started Helping Hands For Animals in 2015 in Ghaziabad Uttar Pradesh to provide treatment to all types of diseased animals. This healthcare unit has helped hundreds of animals so far, and now they need your help to look after the gaumatas in UP.

How It All Began

“When I was in college in 2008, I used to feed a dog near our building every day. One day, she didn’t turn up. I look for her everywhere and finally saw her lying in a pool of blood! The little one had met with an accident and no one came forward to help. That’s when I realised how important it was to set up a health care unit to help animals like this, and how little resources there were.” - Jaishree Bansal

Thus began the setting up of Helping Hands For Animals (HHFA). Jaishree researched, arranged for finances on her own and set up the NGO. Today, they have achieved a success rate of 90% while rescuing animals with immobilitiy, and deadly infections including distemper and parvo. They have treated over 6000 animals so far, including cows, horses, monkeys, cats, dogs, mules and more.

They have also taken in many abandoned gaumatas and have done their best to give them a better life. However, they can’t do it without your help any longer.

Founded by Jaishree Bansal, Dr. Vijay Pathak & Meena Bansal, it is a non-profitable organization that provides treatment to all types of diseased animals (community as well as wildlife) and specializes in dealing with ailments like immobilitiy, distemper, and parvo with a success rate of more than 90%. HHFA implements a strategy that is completely dependent on the type of animals and the suffering they go through. The organization believes in taking complete responsibility for animals that cannot be rehabilitated.
