Support The World’s Largest Gaushala To Give 19000+ Cows A Better Life

Feel free to ask Campaigner for a new update on this Fundraiser.

    Project

When no one cares to look after them, this gaushala spread over 800 bighas, has been a loving home to thousands of cows and bulls with nowhere to go. Established in 2016, Hingonia Gaushala is the world’s largest cow rehabilitation centre and a sanctuary for over 19,000+ cattle. The Government of Rajasthan and the Jaipur Nagar Nigam together with the HKM Jaipur have been working tirelessly to serve countless gaumatas in need.

“Millions of cows are abandoned on the roads by the owners. Once they stop producing milk or become old and sick, they stop having any use for them. These helpless animals wander the streets, consuming plastic bags and garbage. After years of hard work, they don’t deserve to suffer like this,” -  Raghupati Dasa, Hingonia Gaushala.

Millions of stray cattle roam the streets of India - Hingonia Gaushala is on a mission to rescue them

“We get hundreds of rescue calls each day to save gaumatas from terrible accidents. Speeding cars often leave them hurt on the roads - they don’t even stop to check if the animal is alive! Some suffer from life-threatening conditions. We find them in a horrible state and do our best to save their lives. We try to heal every cow that comes through our gates.”

Hingonia’s dedicated cow hospital serves as a sanctuary for injured, sick, and vulnerable cows. They strive to restore their health and well-being with compassion and expert care. They provide round-the-clock attention and support and their team of skilled professionals ensures every cow receives the care they deserve. Together with the support of 400+ workers and 50+ staff, they have successfully carried out more than 84,000 life-saving procedures

The gaushala is always trying to find innovative and environmentally friendly solutions to sustain itself for longer periods. The sale of dairy products and the setting up of a biogas plant are some of the measures aimed at the financial sustainability of the gaushala. However, the gaushala is now facing challenges in providing a constant supply of good quality fodder and care for their resident cows and bulls. They also need your support to build better sheds for the increasing number of cows so that they can have a safe home away from pain and suffering.

“More and more cows come to our gaushala each day and we need to construct these sheds before the rain sets in. They need a proper roof over their heads to avoid getting sick in the rainy weather.”

Your generous contributions can make a huge difference

It is beyond doubt that Hingonia Gaushala’s impact on our society is profound and far-reaching. By providing a nurturing environment for abandoned cows, Hingonia not only alleviates their suffering but also promotes the importance of animal welfare within the community. You, too, can be a part of this wonderful mission - donate fodder and construction materials - and save countless cows and bulls in need.
