Our mission is
Real Cow Protection. Cow Protection doesn't mean "Not Killing Cows",
rather it is "Serving Cows to make them Happy." Lord Diety, the
Supreme Lord is known as Gopal or Govind as he loves cows.Thus for us Cows are
very important. In the Vedic society cows played a special role for each
ceremony be it the birth of a new born to the last rites of the old aged.
The current
situation of the cows are little concerning. The cows and bulls are being
slaughtered on daily basis. Many cows are left on streets to munch on garbage.
Even in various cow shelters they are tortured.
Here at ISKCON
Goshala we have 55+ Cows who are being taken care like our own children.All the
cows are given quality fodder and regular supplements. They are not exploited
for milk, rather most of the milk is for the calves. The cows are barely tied
to the rope. They are free to roam in the Goshala Campus.
But due to the
economic crisis in the past one and a half year there is shortage of funds. The
financial crunch is causing us a lot of difficulty to take care of the cows in
the best possible ways.
Thus requesting
you to help in the arrangement of the feed to the cows.
