Narendra Rescues Them From A Life Of Neglect & Gives Countless Underprivileged Souls New Beginnings

More than 800 people have been reunited with their families, thanks to Narendra Patil 

“Each one of the residents has a painful story to share. I remember I had once rescued an old man whose hands and legs were covered with maggot wounds. He hadn’t eaten for days and was too poor to even stand up. We brought him to our Ashram, tended to his wounds, and gave him a good bath and fresh clothes. One day, when he was fully recovered, I took him to his village to meet his family but while the entire village recognised him, his son refused to take him in. He said this man was not his father and I could see Baba’s eyes fill with tears,” - Narendra Patil, Founder, Manav Seva Tirth Ashram. 

Patil didn’t hesitate to bring the man back to the Ashram. After all, he said, the old man was now his own father - even if one of his sons doesn’t take him in, the other one will. It is with this love and generosity that Patil serves 120+ residents in the Ashram. In the past 6 years, with the help of his team, he has been able to reunite more than 800 people. 

“People come from all over India. Some speak languages I don’t understand, but I try to learn them and understand their condition. They have been rescued from horrible situations - some have been lying in the gutter for more than 2 days while others have wandered far away from their homes and are now living in garbage dumps.”

Every morning, Patil visits the Ashram and sees to it that each of the residents gets proper food, medicines, and everything else they need. To him, the residents are no less than Gods, he calls them  ‘prabhujis’.  

“The organisation runs on donations and often we don’t have enough groceries to feed them. We run out of medicines and necessities like undergarments, sanitary napkins, adult diapers, etc. These people have gone through so much, please help me so that I can give them a comfortable life.”  

The Ashram is also in need of construction materials as Patil dreams of building a new and better home for the poor and the homeless. Every donation of yours is going to make a big difference. 

About the NGO: About 6 years ago, Narendra Patil started Manav Seva Tirth Ashram in Jalgaon, Maharashtra and since then he has reunited 800+ mentally challenged and homeless souls. Currently, the Ashram is a safe home to 120+ residents who have been rescued from horrible conditions. They’re mentally challenged and with Patil with his team of doctors and caretakers works day and night to give them a life of dignity.
