Without your help, these stranded, starving animals in the Assam floods will die. Please help them.

When a calamity hits, it’s not just the humans who suffer. Animals suffer the same terrible fate of displacement, disease, and death, but don’t get as much attention. People For Animals (PFA) Delhi is currently helping move animals in flood-affected districts of Assam to higher, safer ground and they need your help. 

The plight of animals often goes unheard whenever a place get struck with disaster. Even if the locals want to rescue them to safety, it is a near-impossible feat, since they are helpless and unsheltered themselves, and they are not equipped to take care of animals in trauma situations. 

PFA took on the responsibility of rescuing these voiceless creatures to safety so that they don’t perish in the critical flood situation that has affected 30 out of 33 districts and lakhs of people. They are currently working on moving stranded animals to the safety of higher grounds, and after that, they’re organizing a ‘post-flood veterinary camp’.

At this camp, food and medical aid will be provided to animals, to make sure that they will survive to post the calamity. After every disaster, there’s a possibility of disease outbreak, and it’s the same for animals too. By receiving care at the PFA camp, all these animals stand a fighting chance to survive and live healthy lives.
