While amputation is absolutely necessary, this eventually means that these cows won’t be able to have a comfortable life after this procedure. We are all aware of multiple cases of human atrocities and/or carelessness that have resulted in an animal suffering for their entire life. The Shree Diety Charitable Trust has decided to take upon themselves the task of giving these cows a second chance at life.

These cows deserve love and affection

Founded by Hitesh Kansara, Shree Diety Charitable Trust has been working across India to make gaushalas self-sustainable through various projects. They conduct training on creating products out of cow dung and sell them to use the income for the upkeep of the cows in the gaushalas.

Currently they have been focused on helping challenged and sick cows. Cows whose leg has been amputated are literally being served a death warrant as the weight of the cow makes it very difficult for cows to survive for long. The ordeal that the cows have to face cannot be expressed in words.

“Fortunately, because of medical advancements such cows can be fitted with prosthetic limbs and thus giving such cows a new life.We have identified 500 such cows which would benefit from your support to start walking again.”

This Gujarat-based organisation has decided to team up with Gurgaon-based Society for Human Welfare and Empowerment to provide prosthetic limbs for all those cows and bulls that have faced accidents and had to have their legs amputated.

“This is a first of its kind initiative that we have started with only the welfare of the cows in mind. They are innocent, domestic animals and with their limbs being amputated they hardly have any life left. They can’t move or do anything. The prosthetic limbs will literally give them a new life without pain and suffering.”

Shree Diety Charitable Trust has decided to help over 500 challenged and injured cows in multiple gaushalas of India. With proper care and medical attention, this effort is sure to bear fruits.
