    Project

“I was an orphan who was visually impaired - you can imagine the kind of childhood I must have had. It was difficult but I was not ready to give up. From getting admission into a good school to going to a college and then finally becoming the Manager at a nationalised bank - I have always struggled my way through. I was denied an MBA seat at Bangalore University. I fought for my right and appealed to the Chancellor of the University, the Chief Minister, and even the Governor of the State. Ultimately, I became the first vision-impaired student to complete the MBA course at Bangalore University,” - Mr. Paul Muddha, Founder Managing Trustee, Snehadeep Trust.

Mr. Muddha joined hands with his friends to help many more challenged people in need. All three of them had seen how cruel society was to all those who weren’t ‘normal’. Snehadeep Trust provides a safe place to 150 such people who can now dream of a bright future

This NGO is working to change the way the world treats People With Disabilities

Established in 1999, Snehadeep Trust aims to provide accommodation, education, training, and assistance with personal development to both the visually impaired and the physically challenged. In recent years, the organization has grown and now extends its service to not only those with physical disabilities but also children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

The Trust was started by 3 highly motivated graduates - Mr. Paul Muddha, Founder Managing Trustee,  Mr. K.G. Mohan, Founder Trustee, and Mr. Shrimannanarayan B.G., Founder Trustee. It was not a coincidence that all three were visually impaired and they wanted to create a better world for the underprivileged who face discrimination every step of the way.

The Trust has two branches - one in Bangalore and one in Ranebennur, a city in the Haveri district in Karnataka. They look after around 150 people with disabilities - feed them nutritious meals, give them a home and take care of their medical needs.  With their computer training centre, their spoken English training centre, and other amenities they’re working to incorporate the challenged into mainstream society.

Your support can help shape the future of hundreds of challenged youth in Karnataka

Snehadeep Trust wishes to reach out to many more in need. They strongly believe that each and every human being has the right to lead a good and healthy life - one that gives them joy and happiness. The Trust is on a mission to break the stigma around people with disabilities by empowering them. They now need your support to give them nutritious meals, hygiene materials to give them a better life, and Braille Paper to help them learn and read.

“Many of our students have successfully got job placements in the govt. sector, banking sectors, schools, and Private Corporations as well. This just goes to show that with love and care each one can reach their full potential. We request you all to support us - every single donation will make a difference.”
