Tripura is in the grips of a disaster, unlike anything it has ever seen. Unprecedented rainfall has ravaged the state, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. In just one day, Tripura witnessed 288.8 mm of rainfall—the highest ever recorded. The relentless downpour has claimed the lives of at least 24 people, and nearly 1.28 lakh have been left homeless, their lives turned upside down in a matter of hours.

The situation is dire and the need to help is urgent 

More than 2,000 homes have been damaged or destroyed, forcing families to seek refuge in makeshift shelters. Schools and colleges have been closed, disrupting the lives of countless children. The state has set up 558 relief camps, but the need is overwhelming, and resources are stretched thin.

Panic and fear have gripped the region. Families have lost everything—their homes, belongings, and sense of security. As the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Army, Airforce, and local NGOs work tirelessly to rescue those stranded, the people of Tripura are in desperate need of necessities.
