Project
Shri Udiya baba was a Sidha Hindun Saint. His sanyasa name was Shri Swami Purnananda Tirtha. As he belonged to Odisha, so got famous with the name of Shri Udiya baba.
In his lifetime, Udiya Baba Ji Maharaj has given many of his devotees and followers a glimpse of worldly miracles that have transformed their lives. Many of those miracles have been written in books and passed-on within families for generations. He was well known for his annpurna sidhi. He left his mortal body 8th May 1948.
Sri Udiya baba ashram is situated in Vrindavan near Davanal Kund. Ashram is run by Shri Swami Purnanand Teerth (Shri Udiya Baba) Trust.
Bhandara ( free offering food) was started in the time of Shri Udiya babaji Maharaj.
Same tradition is still ongoing. In the Ashram food is served to everyone without any discrimination.
Ashram trust is making efforts that no one sleeps hungry especially, women, old saints and children of poor families. For this purpose, there is free food, clothing, and residential services for this section of people. Apart from this weekly free medical camp organized. We have also started to build a shelter home for widows and destitute mothers of Vrindavan and for the purpose fund is also collected.
About the Trust:
Udiya Baba ashram is a home for every poor, exploited, challenged, abandoned, old saints, destitute, women, from all over the world. We are providing free food to more than 200 people in a day. The center is open 24*7 for needy and poor regardless of their age, s*x, caste, religion or colour. Together with this, we extend support to child education for those belonging to under-privileged sections under ‘Shiksha Seva’ mission. Children are provided food and living space at free of cost. A free dispensary provides medical relief to the poor and destitute along with free checkup from eminent doctors. We are also working for the welfare of cows from the ‘gaushala’ we maintain. For the future, we are planning to establish a shelter home for old age women.
