Project
Vrindavan, a city rich in culture and heritage, is also the home of sadhus and fakirs, who come here to find spiritual connection with the Almighty.Thousands of sadhus live in this holy city but unfortunately, not all of them can afford two square meals a day or a roof over their heads. Be it the scorching summers or the chilly winters, these sadhus are at the mercy of the passers-by.
“For the last 40 years, we have been doing our best to feed thousands of hungry sadhus. There hasn’t been a single day when we didn’t feed them. It is an honour to feed those who are so close to the Almighty,”
Their happy faces and content smiles make our day
“Vrindavan is a major tourist attraction but COVID marred everything. These tourists used to donate food and money to the sadhus but with their numbers dwindling, it is becoming increasingly difficult for them to survive.”
“Our Guruji was travelling when he saw so many sadhus lying down by the side, unable to walk because they have been starving for days. His heart broke and he immediately decided to do something for them. That’s how this started and we have been going strong for over 40 years.”
However, they need your support now
Vrindavan Sadhu Seva wants to feed thousands of sadhus who are hungry and have been forced to starve - currently, they are feeding 1000 sadhus, and want to reach out to many more. They need groceries, a van and an e-rickshaw to help them meet their goals. With your support, that would be possible - donate now and save thousands of sadhus in need.
Regards,
Vrindavan Sadhu Seva
