Stray animals can often be found surviving on the little food leftovers near the garbage with no water. The lactating and aged animals suffer the most. Prior to lockdown, every stray animal survived their days by scavenging food from the garbage bins or with the help of some kind street vendors, hawkers or pedestrians. Post lockdown, it has been a real tough time for these strays to survive without any food to eat, nor any water to drink or without any kind of medical emergency.

How the foundation helps hundreds of animalsWagging Tales Foundation is a registered non profit since October 2020 promoting animal welfare through its feeding, vaccination, spay/neuter and rescue initiatives.They have been feeding 450+ stray animals ( primarily dogs ) on a regular basis in South and Central Delhi.Around 5-8 cases of injured stray dogs/cats are reported to them on a daily basis and they provide immediate medical assistance to those in need. ![]()
They have also rescued more than 150+ stray animals including cows and rabbits needing immediate attention and from illegal breeders, animal abusers etc. Most of them got necessary medical treatment and got released in their territories but several of them are in medical boarding due to their condition rendering them unfit to be left on roads. The Foundation has installed cemented water pots at 80+ locations to ensure drinking facilities for stray animals at all times.The strays need your support nowWagging Tales Foundation have been working tirelessly to ensure no stray animal suffers due to lack of food or water. They have been rapidly increasing their feeding spots in adjoining areas of South and Central Delhi as strays living in the remotest areas were severely hit by the lockdown. ![]()
Despite the lockdown and the pandemic, there has been no reduction in the number of accident cases and medical emergencies. Alongwith feeding, the NGO has also constantly rendered their medical services to those in need. As the country slowly walks towards stability again, they continue to provide food to the hungry. Their feeding spots have been growing steadily, most of them being malnourished lactating mothers with huge litters of pups, not eaten for days or senior dogs needing special care. However, their efforts are nowhere near enough. ![]()
