Livelihood of women by donating electric iron box.

Wisdom Foundation , has been working for the betterment of vulnerable women in the state of Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu.  

Dhobi families are one of those families in rural areas since ancient times that depend on washing and ironing clothes without money and they work only for their food. Dhobi families in every village are engaged in washing and ironing clothes at low cost and with uncertain income. But women are the main victims of the whole process; they used to iron clothes with a heavy manual iron box using charcoal, which is very demanding and expensive these days.

​Women are also facing health related health problems due to heavy weight and heat of manual iron box. It gives problems of leaking charcoal pieces on clothes and it causes a lot of damage. The customer demands money towards their damage and it is really painful for women. In most Dhobi families women are the person responsible for taking care of their daily needs and family survival. To overcome the problems, Wisdom Foundation wants to help Dhobi women by donating an electrical ironing box to 35 poor women in rural and urban areas of Chittoor and Tirupati districts of Andhra Pradesh.
