"They alone live who live for others,the rest are more dead than alive" inspired by this words,on 12th Jan,2014 on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda birthday,a group of young volunteers come together and formed Hitha Sayodya Voluntary Organisation.This Core group of volunteers believe that sustainable development can be achieved along with proper education,skill development,training at required time in various stages of life. Started with 7 member team in 2014,Sayodya today has 50 volunteers in almost every village of Suryapet district.

Activities :

Eco-friendly Ganapathi :

Most of our Diety idols are made up of plaster of paris. Unfortunately this does not disintegrate easily and the idol floats in water after immersion. To add more to the woes, the chemical dyes and colors being used to colour them contain poisonous elements. Particularly, Red, Blue, Orange and Green colours contain Mercury, Zinc oxide, Chromium and Lead, the potential causes of developing rare condition.
Counter this Hitha sayodya started distributing eco-friendly ganapati moorthies made of mud.The main aim of this project to promote eco-friendly practices during Ganapati pooja celebrations and also to promote awareness and understanding about the spiritual and cultural ideals behind Ganapati pooja, ideals which have been obscured by the recent trends.Last year Sayodya distributed around 5000+ eco-friendly ganapathy moorthies in Nalgonda Dist.

Reinforcement of libraries:
Hitha Sayodya is instrumental in opening libraries in 100 villages spread over 3 districts in the state of Telangana. These libraries act as centers for promoting the culture of reading in the rural children.

Prayaas Notebooks:
Hitha Sayodya sells notebooks at very low price by cross-subsiding through advertisements on notebooks from local shops.

Women Empowerment:
Hitha Sayodya runs a training sessions for the rural women.This is a 2 month training program which gives them practical knowledge in beautician course.So that these women start their own beauty parlour and become self-dependent in life.

Agriculture:
Zero Budget Natural Farming or Subash Palekar Method is a method which involves locally obtainable natural bio-degradable materials and combine scientific knowledge of ecology and modern technology with traditional farming practices based on naturally occurring biological processes.Sayodya conducted a 15 day workshop on Zero budget Natural farming took forward this method in few villages under Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana,a central government initiative forming a cluster of 20 farmers.
