Support Priya’s Relentless Efforts To Care For Sick & Injured Animals

The stray animals on the road suffer severely due to apathy of the commoners. It doesn’t take much to show kindness to these animals but more often than not we come across cases when they have been subjected to cruelty. They are then left on the streets in horrible conditions and then often don’t survive.

“We take these critical cases in, treat them and then return them back to their natural habitat. This is something unique to our organization, Karma Foundation. We are strong believers in animals staying in their natural habitat instead of caging them up in shelter homes. The ones that are incapable of surviving on the streets on their own, we send them to sanctuaries,” -Priya, Co-founder, Karma Foundation. 

Ardent animal lovers, Priya and Aditya have made it their mission to save the voiceless 

Karma Foundation was founded in 2018 because Priya and Aditya felt the need to build a free of cost medical facility for the stray animals where the best, most advanced, ethical and highly skilled medical care is readily available. 

Priya has always been an animal lover and wanted to do something for them. Finally Karma Foundation was started in a small 200 sq ft room in Pune - they were able to take in only 5-6 animals.

“We are so proud to have grown from that to a 14,000 sq ft place where we can look after over 200-300 animals who are sick and injured. In a month we make around 500 rescues and over 300 of them need critical surgeries. And all of this has been possible because of the love and donations we have received from our well-wishers. We have rescued over 10,000 animals since 2018,” - Priya, Co-founder, Karma Foundation. 

But now they need your help 

The pandemic has hit a hard blow to this animal-loving couple who has dedicated their lives for the betterment of these innocent souls. They have used up a huge chunk of their savings and yet they haven’t received an adequate amount of donations.

“It has been a difficult journey since the pandemic started. We have tried our best but now we would need your help to take care of the animals. Our basic necessities would be that of medicines and help with diagnostic tests. The stray animals are in a really bad shape and they need us. We want to help as many of them as possible - your support will mean a lot.” 

Karma Foundation needs help to get medicines and diagnostic tests for the injured animals. Even a small contribution will go a long way. 

About the NGO
