Hundreds Of Voiceless Animals Are Suffering In Silence, Help Perroayuda Save Them

“It was late during the night when I got a call from my friend. His voice seemed urgent. He told me that he had seen a Husky chained to a gate of a house and the dog was in terrible condition. He wasn’t able to open his eyes or stand up on his own. I decided to go immediately to rescue the dog,” - Prabhjeet Singh, Director, Perroayuda Welfare Foundation (PWF).

Prabhjeet found out that the dog, Raja, was abandoned by its human family and was suffering from a number of ailments. He had no fur on his body because of a skin condition, his liver and kidneys were failing, his hemoglobin was as low as 3, and his platelet count had fallen to 60,000. No one expected Raja to get better yet with constant love and care and proper treatment, Raja is living a healthy life now at PWF. 

We want to save so many more animals like Raja - they have no one but us 

While Perroayuda Foundation was established 3 years ago in Rohini, Delhi, Prabhjeet and his friends have been involved in animal welfare for more than 6 years now. Prabhjeet was sitting on his balcony when he saw a small puppy being run over by a car - that was the start of his journey. With the help of his friends, he did everything possible to save the little puppy. And since then he has been working very hard for every animal in need of care - be it a dog, a cat, a monkey, or even a baby goat who was rescued by PWF from a slaughterhouse.

“We have five caretakers with us who are at the shelter 24/7. I work as an accountant but my day starts and ends caring for these animals. We have around 150+ dogs and most of them are sick or are too old to be left on the roads. We try our best to give them proper diet and the medicines they need but sometimes we fall short of funds,” 

You can help these innocent animals get the life they deserve 

PWF is in dire need of dog food and medicines to take care of the 150+ dogs in their care. These dogs have seen only pain and torture - some suffer from tick fever, while others have fluid accumulation in their stomach. However, they’re all fighters who can get better with a little support.
