Your Support Will Give 450 Underprivileged Children, A Chance To Stay Connected To Education!

There are millions of children in India who haven’t been to school. Some have dropped out and some haven’t even seen what a classroom looks like. They spend their time either working to support their families or staying away from their home where they have no access to schools in their area. This is not how a child should spend their years meant for growing and learning. Every child deserves education. 

Now, they want to do their best for educating kids in rural areas in Gujarat and Maharashtra where they are having their education program.  Their project 'Masti Ki Patshala' is run for children of migrant labourers in the area between Pardi and Kaprada in Gujarat. In the 40 km stretch between Pardi and Kaprada, lies many brick making units where migrant labourers work on for 6-8 months to make bricks used in constructions. These labourers come from far off villages and live in temporary plastic or brick homes, all to try and survive another day. However, the children who accompany their parents have no access to even basic education. While the parents toil away at work, the children get detached from any sort of learning. Sparsh wants to ensure that these children don’t miss out on the education they deserve. They have decided to initiate a basic education program that includes play, aspects of health and hygiene, value education, and a nutritious snack. The sessions will be held at the brick-making units, and teachers have been identified from neighboring villages.
